Terms of service

These terms cover your use of the Heurika app and this site. Using Heurika means agreeing to them. They are kept short and in plain language on purpose.
What Heurika is
A health assessment and planning tool. It assesses seven dimensions of your health, reads what it can from the services you connect, and builds a gradual plan that adjusts as you change.
What Heurika is not
You decide what is sensible for your own body. Start conservatively, and stop anything that causes pain or feels unsafe.
Your account
An account keeps your readings available across devices. Keep your password to yourself, give accurate information, and tell us if you believe someone else has access. You must be at least 13 years old to use Heurika.
Subscriptions and payment
- The free tier is not a trial. It does not expire and does not require a card.
- Heurika Complete is a recurring subscription billed through your Apple account. It renews automatically until cancelled.
- Cancel at any time in the Settings app on your iPhone, under your name, then Subscriptions. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their own policy, since Apple processes the payment.
- If prices change, existing subscribers are told before the change takes effect.
- Cancelling never deletes anything. Your readings stay, and the app returns to the free tier.
Connecting other services
Connecting is optional and Heurika works without it. You control what is connected and can disconnect at any time. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms, and Heurika is not responsible for their accuracy or availability. If one changes or withdraws access, that connection may stop working.
Fair use
Please do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, access anyone else's account, resell or redistribute the app, or use it for anything unlawful.
Your content
Your readings, journal entries and profile remain yours. You give permission to store and process them only in order to operate the app for you, as described in the privacy policy.
Availability
Features may change over time. Heurika aims to stay running but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Plans, readings and anything Heurika generates are estimates and can be wrong.
Ending it
You can stop using Heurika at any time and delete your account and everything in it from inside the app. Deletion is permanent. An account that breaks these terms may be suspended.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Heurika is provided as is, and is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of it or from decisions you make based on it. Some places do not allow certain limitations, in which case only those permitted there apply to you.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the date above changes with them. Continuing to use Heurika after that means accepting the updated terms.
